Question:
An oven is used primarily for meat. It has grease residue. Can someone bake fish or make a fish meal in this “meat” oven? Can one bake fish in this oven after 24-48 hours? Whats the time frame? Please answer fully.
Answer:
- If the oven has residue of meat in it on should not bake uncovered fish in this oven because it will mix with the residue of the meat.
- If there is grease there, 24 or 48 hours will not matter. The idea of aino ben yomom only applies to absorbed taste ( bliyos), but not to b’en (actual residue)
