Fedex envelope scheduled to arrive on Yom Tov

Question:

Please let me know if it is permitted to send an international Fedex envelope to a Nochri on Chol Hamoed (this coming Wednesday in New York) which is scheduled to arrive on Yom Tov (Shvii Shel Pesach). The matter is in the category of Davar Ha’avud. Thank you.

Answer:

If it is indeed a davar ha’avud it is permitted but not if it is “mechavein melachto b’moed”, planned to do on chol hamoed. Therefore if it can be done before yom tov it must be done then, and not on chol hamoed.
