Is it permissible to do needlepoint for pleasure on chol hamoed if the project has been started before yom tov and will not be completed on yom tov?

Answer:
Needlepoint, knitting, crocheting, and embroidery are all considered ma'aseh uman, a skilled type of work, and therefore not allowed on chol hamoed.
