Is it mutar during shloshim/aveilus year to make a bracha of shehechiyanu on fruit?
Answer:
An avel, even during shiva is allowed to make a shehechiyanu, as there are no restrictions to an avel making shehechiyanu. He should however not make the bracha it a public setting such as lighting Chanukah candles and saying the brachos the first night of Chanukah.
