Kaddish in a movie

Question:

I was called to play a Jewish funeral in a movie. If the script requires it, could I recite kaddish? the crew (the troupe) is not made up of Jews, and everything would be for the film. For me is job and of course I’m Jewish…

Answer:

Kaddish is a very holy prayer, even though it technically doesn’t have any of H-shem’s names in it, and is only said when there is a minyan there. Therefore we should not say Kaddish for no reason. You could however, say the first two three words, and then they should close the scene, which shouldn’t be an issue because the general audience has no interest in hearing kaddish.
