Joining two haftorah scrolls to make one…is it kosher?

Question:

Suppose I have a kosher Shnuel Aleph scroll and a separate Shmuel Bet scroll — similar in size and format.
Can they be attached together to form one scroll of Shmuel Aleph followed by Shmuel bet.
Can a Haftorah then be read from the new combined scroll?
Does it matter if both the Aleph and Bet scrolls were written by the same sofer, or do they have to have been written by the same sofer?

Answer:

They can be attached, and they will be kosher for reading the Haftora. They should be taken to a sofer who knows how to attach them correctly. This applies even if the two parts were written by different sofrim.
