During the nine days are we permitted to buy a birthday present for him online that will arrive after the nine days? We would like to order it now so that it arrives in time for his birthday party. We follow Sephardic minhag.

It is permitted if the delivery and payment will be after Tisha B’av, otherwise it should wait until after Tisha B’av.
