Boys should not be swimming together with girls, even if they are covered, and it isn’t just an issue of being shomer negiah, but also a tznius and shomer einayim issue. Even if the girl is covered with a robe etc., it comes up when she is swimming. Additionally it sticks to her body and it is something that will cause illicit thoughts among the boys. This is besides from the negative atmosphere that it creates. Therefore girls and boys should not go swimming together even if they are totally covered.
