Question:
Can one order a package from amazon that will specifically be delivered on shabbos? Thanks.
Answer:
If you specifically request that it be delivered on shabbos then you are essentially telling the gentile to do work for you on shabbos which would not be permitted. However if the shipping was ordered in a way that the shipper can send it before or after shabbos, and he on his own decides to send it on shabbos then it would be permitted. Additionally, there are poskim that say that if the company only offers overnight delivery, such as Amazon then it is considered as if they are doing it for thier own reasons (good service, advertising) and it is permitted.
