Bracha on water

Question:

Does one recite a bracha on water if one is not thirsty, but has some enjoyment from the temperature of the water (such as one who drinks a nice cold cup of water or a very hot cup of water, where there is a certain degree of enjoyment from the temperature of the water) even though he does not feel thirst?

Answer:

The only time a person doesn’t make a bracha on water is when the person is not drinking the water because he is enjoying it, but because he has no choice. If he is drinking more water then what is necessary for taking the medicine, obviously he is enjoying the water, and it is considered drinking for thirst, and he would make a bracha on it.

Best Wishes
