One who is getting $300 a month as a kollel check but there were certain days that he missed due to oversleeping (I am not sure exactly how many days), does he need to inform/ remind the rosh kollel to pay him less? The rosh kollel is there every day and presumably knows when he is not there, but maybe he forgot about it or it slipped his mind. Or can we assume that the rosh kollel is mochel him for those days?
Answer:
A rosh kollel knows that people are humans and there are times when things happen. If he would want to deduct money he would do so, in fact there are certain kollelim that deduct money when a person misses or is late. If this Rosh Kollel didn’t do it, you can assume that he is mochel it.
