Guest that decided not to eat any more and was served more food

Question:

When a guest is served food, then decides not to eat anymore, goes to his room, and then is (totally unexpectedly) brought a new food (same bracha as before), does he make a new bracha, since the new food was totally unexpected and the earlier eating session was terminated when he retired to his room?

Answer:

If you left the room with the intention to end the meal, then that would be considered a hefsek in the meal, and a new bracha would have to be said.

Best wishes
