Problematic sefer

Question:

I came into possession of a set of sifrei kodeshim. Unfortunately, I discovered that two of the five volumes in the set were co-authored by someone who went OTD and became a christian. Should I burn the two volumes and put the other three in the geneiza? Or put all five in the geniza? (or something else?)

Answer:

The three volumes seem to be alright as they weren’t written by that person, and technically don’t need geniza at all, unless you are uncomfortable learning in them. Even the other two volumes are only if the person went OTD before co- authoring the sefer, and if there is kefira things written in it. Definitely don’t have to burn them, but they can be put into geneiza.
