Question:
Are separate drying racks required for meat and dairy dishes? If so, why?
Answer:
They are not required, because the dishes are clean when they touch the rack. It is customary though according to some authorities. The reason being, that if you will put milky and meaty dishes on the rack, especially at the same time, over time they can mistakenly get mixed up.
