BRACHA FOR NUT BUTTERS

Question:

I like eating ALMOND BUTTER (like peanut BUTTER) straight from the jar? Its thick. Is it SHAKOL or HAETZ? Does this go for all nut butters straight from the jar? Should i eat it after having an HAETZ or SHAKOL foods so that it should be included? All LICHAHILLA.

Answer:

The bracha on them is shehakol, since they are groiund and mashed very well and don’t resemble the original almond or peanut. There is no need to eat it after haetz, however there are opinions that it is better to do so, however this is not the standard practice.
