Saying Savri maranan v'rabanan v'rabotai

Question:

Dear Rabbi
If one is making kiddish alone should he still say Savri maranan v'rabanan v'rabotai or just skip the line although?

Answer:

One who has the minhag to say savri... says it even when he is eating all by himself. The reason is, that aside from the actual asking permission, there are also other intentions involved here, such as the exact number of words stated in the kiddush, which have kabalistic ramifications. Therefore even when eating alone we say kiddush the same way.

Best wishes
