Overcharging a debit card that caused a fee

Question:

I did an order through a company. The way they do it is that as soon as you place the order, they freeze that amount of money. When they fill the order, they then charge the card again and the original amount goes back into your account. (I did not know this when I placed the order). My card has a system where they charge a certain monthly fee, but if the account stays above a certain amount, that fee is refunded. Because of the double charge from the order I made, my account went under that amount, so I was charged the fee. Is the company responsible for that fee?

I don’t think you can because its probably a policy that is stated someplace in their agreement and just because you were unaware does not make them liable. Also even if that isn’t the case its difficult to make them liable for their action  as garmi since they were unaware that they would cause you a fee.
