Fasting for teshuva

Question:

Dear Rabbi,

I have given more thought to fasting to do teshuvah and to ask Hashem more health and reasonable biblical placement. Can you help me choose with a day on this matter?

Shalom.

Answer:

Thank you for your question. ‘

The Rabbis say that nowadays we don’t fast for teshuva, because nowadays we are weak and it isn’t healthy for us to do. They suggest that instead say Psalms, study more Torah, introspection to see what ways it is possible to grow and improve oneself, and if possible give some tzedakah. In this merit may H-shem answer all of you prayers.

Best wishes
