Can I use a peeler to peel a carrot on Shabbos?
Answer:
- Using a peeler on Shabbos is controversial if it is considered a specialized instrument of borer, or if it considered merely a knife. Almost all poskim don't allow it however R' Moshe Feinstein zt"l held that it is permitted.
