Question:

Hi, a parent gave me a sum of money to be used at my discretion in general, but not to be used for Torah studies. Do I have to abide by this condition?

Answer:

It is not clear what it means not for torah studies, tuition? Regardless, if they gave you that money on that condition, you should listen to it, however it should not be a problem for you to use that money for other things and you other money’s for your other torah things.

Best wishes
