Question:
The Gemara Pesachim 112 says not to wear clothing until eight days have passed since they were laundered. Are we obligated to comply with this, and if not why not?
Answer:
The gemora is referring to washing clothing from lice. See Sefer Shmiras Haguf V'hanefesh 73-3, that nowadays we are not makpid on this because our form of laundering gets rid of any lice. Also see Taima Dkra 2 pg. 235, this however is not the minhag haolam
