Buying food on minor fast day

Question:

Can people buy food on minor fast days? And, if a Jewish person who is not fasting purchases food on the fast day, can that food be eaten by a Jew who fasted?

Answer:

There is no problem whatsoever with buying food on a fast day. You and anyone else may eat it, without a problem.

Best wishes
