I am using cream bought from the pharmacy for dry skin on my face. I have been keeping my beard very short because otherwise it’s virtually impossible to get the cream in. Is it motor to shave during the three weeks so I can continue to use the cream? Thanks

Dry skin is not necessarily a medical need, but if in your instance it is, then it would indeed be permitted. It would be better to let people know why it is being done, so that they don’t think you are not keeping the halachos

We find in a number of places, including showering during the nine days and Tisha B’av that if it is done for a medical need that it is permitted, being that it isn’t for pleasure. Poskim
