Losh regarding Tradition soups

Question:

The TRADITION soups that all the kids eat would there be a problem of LOSH when you add hot water ? Not discussing Bishel .
Ty

Answer:

Before getting to losh it should be stated that adding hot water to the soup can have a serious bishul issue, because the spices, etc. are not precooked.  Regarding losh, I am not familiar with the different types of soups, but here is the general rule. If the noodles, and solid pieces will stick together because of the water that is added to them, then it would be losh. However if the pieces are floating in the liquid of the soup then losh will not be an issue. Regarding the liquid of the soup, even if the powder will make it slightly thicker, if it is a thin liquid like chocolate milk, it is not considered losh, however if it becomes like a batter then it would be losh.

Best wishes

  1. If the noodles, and solid pieces will stick together because of the water that is added to them, then it would be losh. Can you clarify what solid pieces you are referring to ? What about just the noodles and powder and leave out the vegetables will the noodles as there is a lot that become all stuck together be losh ?

    1. The pieces of vegetables etc. that are in the soup besides noodles.
If they get stuck together, it might be losh, but it is hard to judge this without actually seeing it.
