Saying pasukim Hashem’s name in inappropriate places

Question:

Hello Rav, I have a few questions please:
1. Is it permissible to sing or hum pasukim or zemirot with and/or without Hashem’s name while in the bathroom?
2. Is it permissible to sing or hum pasukim or zemirot with and/or without Hashem’s name while changing a baby’s nappy?
3. Is it permissible to say “Baruch Hashem” or similar things while lying in bed with my wife before or after marital relations?
Thank you very much!

Answer:

When a person says or thinks words of torah it cause the divine presence to join him, therefore when we are in proximity of unclean things, we are not allowed to say or think torah thoughts. Therefore we should not hum pesukim or zmiros while in the bathroom of while changing a baby’s nappy, because it brings us to think about the actual words.

Saying Boruch Hashem is permitted because it isn’t considered saying Hashem’s name, and isn’t even considered saying a kinui of Hashem. therefore it is permitted
