Nidda Question

Question:

Hello,

My wife is on a birth control pill that, when taken regularly, would result in a period every month when taking the brown iron pills. My wife happens to not take these pills and goes straight to the next set of birth control pills, in essence skipping her period.

It happens to be that sometime she ends up spotting so much around the time she should be getting her next period that it ends up being like a flow and we treat it as such. But when it’s just light spotting, should it be considered a flow since she’s really supposed to be getting it then and its only being held back slightly by the pill?

How should such scenarios be treated?

Thank you

Answer:

If it is only light spotting, and it isn’t enough to make her tameh, it isn’t considered a period. However if it is enough to make her tameh it will be considered a period.
