Carrying a cross body bag on Shabbat?

Question:

Can a woman use a small 6″x9″ cross body bag for car/house keys on Shabbat?

Answer:

The keys or anything else should not be carried inside of the bag, because they are not being worn as a garment, and it is no different than carrying the keys inside your pocket. In fact the bag itself should not be carried outside on Shabbos even if it is empty, because it itself is not considered a garment, as the strap around it is there only to service the bag, and it isn’t considered a garment.
