Benefiting from work done on chol hamoed

Question:

If one were to do forbidden work on chol hamoed, (getting a hair cut for example) would one at a later point be able to benefit from it? In other words, are the restrictions similar to sabbath, where work done can never be benefited from by the one who said said work?

Answer:

There is controversy about this ( See Piskei Teshuvos 530 ftnt. 59) if it is compared to Shabbos or not. If it would apply it would only depend on the individual case, and it is hard to understand what you mean by benefiting from the haircut.

A gut moed.
