Eruv for Backyard

Question:

I have an enclosed yard behind my house which is about twenty meters by ten meters. There is a chain link fence going around that is about 1.2 meters high. There are two openings to enter the yard, with an opening of about 1 meter, that have link fence doors. On Shabbos, am I allowed to carry in my backyard without making an eruv? Do the doors of the fence have to be closed the whole Shabbos? Do they have to be closed coming into Shabbos? What if the door is opened on Shabbos?

Answer:

Hello,

The yard is considered halachicaly enclosed. The doors do not have to be closed.

All the best
