Is it assur to check my email before saying birchos hashachar? (I am a mother of young children and usualyl do not daven shachris so I have in mind that that birchos hashachar should be my tefilla which I learned is okay).

You may check your e-mails before saying brachos, but it is preferable that you say brachos beforehand, especially since it doesn’t take much time. Tis is because we really souldn’t be doing things before davening
