I was taught in my yeshivah (back in the day) that when a person falsely accused someone for something they didn’t do… it’s a mitzvah to give a bracha. For instance, health till 120, happiness, etc. Is/was this past teaching accurate? Thank you.

Yes, this is a Gemara in Berachos 31b. After Eli falsely assumed that Chana (Shmuel’s mother) was drunk, he gave her a beracha.
