EXCHANGING AN OLD MEZUZAH WITH A NEW

Question:

If someone is changing his front door old MEZUZAH for a new more HIDUR MEZUZAH. IS A BRACHA MADE for the new one? The old one is kosher i believe, but the new one is HIDUR.

Answer:

Thank you for your question.

What you are asking is a bit controversial, however most poskim say that you do make a bracha.

Best wishes
