Hello,
Is a problem if I order a gift on a Tuesday or Wednesday and it ends up getting delivered on Shabbat? (What if the recipient is Jewish but not religious–I cannot control if they open it on Shabbat)
Is this my responsibility? Do I have to know it will arrive on a non-holiday?
Answer:
It is permitted to order the products, and even if they will come on Shabbos it is not a problem. This is because you didn’t tell them that you want it delivered specifically on Shabbos, This is something the gentile company decided to do. Therefore it is permitted.
