Answer:
Although the Ashkenazi minhag is not to eat kitnios on Pesach, however a person who is ill is epermitted to take medication that contains kitnios. Therefore a person who is not well and needs a laxative that has kitnios, if he can’t get one that doesn’t have kitnois it may be used.
