Am I allowed to use this manual carpet sweeper on Shabbos. I am sending a picture of the underside. There are many different kinds. Some companies says it uses “static” to lift the dust and crumbs. this company does not say that…but there might be other issues involved..

The poskim say that a carpet sweeper should not be used on Shabbos. There are a number of different reasons that they give. Some say that it is melaben, because it cleans the carpet. Others say that since it detaches fibers from the carpet it is included in sosair kli, (breaking a vessel). Others say that it is an issue of uvdin d’chol- weekday like.
