Prohibited mixtures

Question:

Hello, this may be a weird question: Just as there is a prohibition against mixed wool and linen clothing items, is there any such prohibition for other things?

For example, with foods: could one mix multiple types of beans, grains, etc (e.g., pea soup with soybeans and then also eat chickpeas on the side or rice mixed with pasta?) or mix items made of different substances?

Answer:

Thank you for your question.

The prohibited mixtures are only what the Torah prohibits and the safegaurds that the Ribbis included. The only mixture of foods that have an issue are milk and meat, etc.

Best wishes
