My daughter found 10 shekel in a local supermarket in Beitar Illit. She would like to know what to do with it?

Answer:
If it was found behind the counter then it would belong to the storeowner, otherwise it is like it was found in the street and she may keep it, (and give a shekel to maaser). The reason is because the store is not considered a protected place, therefore whoever found it may keep it. If you are supporting your daughter,( she is still young) then essentially you are the one who can keep it.
