Making a hole in a bag on Shabbos

Question:

If someone stores baby food in a plastic Ziploc bag, would it be permissible to make a hole in the bottom corner of the bag to squeeze out the baby food into a bowl? I could just open the top of the bag but it would be cleaner this way and so I’d like to know if its muttar.

If its allowed, how could one make the whole.

Answer:

It is not permitted to make such a whole on Shabbos, because it is fashioning the bag to serve tis purpose. Although it is permitted to rip open a bag on Shabbos in order to get the food out, that is only when the bag is being ripped on a destructive manner. Here it is considered constructive, therefore it is not permitted.
