Question:
Why is it permitted to hug one’s mother or daughter when they are a nidda? It would seem to be derech chiba so why is it permitted?
Answer:
It is permitted for a man to hug or kiss his mother daughter even when they are a nidda. The reason is because there is no taava for them. As a side point a person’s mother is always an eishes ish, nevertheless it is permitted, therefore when she is a nidda it is no worse than that.
Best wishes
