Putting tallis back on after a hefsek

Question:

If you take your tallis off during shacharis, when you put it back on, should you say another bracha? Does it depend on how long the hefsek was? Thanks

Answer:

It doesn’t depend on how long your tallis wasn’t on, rather why you took you tallis off and did you mean to put it back on right away again. For example, a person who uses the bathroom and takes his tallis off before entering, does not make another bracha when he puts is back on, after exiting the bathroom. The same applies to when someone lends his tallis to someone else, for birkas kohanim or for an aliya. When the person gives the tallis back there is no need to make another bracha.
