Anything that is done for the honor of Shabbos is kavod Shabbos, however I am not aware of any specific minhag to buy flowers l’kavod Shabbos. There is an idea mentioned in the gemora of a person who took two hadasim (myrtle branches), but I am not aware of such an idea regarding flowers. The best I can say is that if your wife likes it, it promotes shalom bayis, which is important for Shabbos, as this is one of the reasons we light Shabbos candles
