Question:
I get a tenbis card at work which allows me to order food up to a certain number of NIS a month. Any credit that I don’t use expires at the end of the month. I can use it at work or at home.
Do I have to pay maaser on the tenbis credit that I get every month or just the credit that I use?
Answer:
You should take maser rom the card, but only from the value of the purchases that you actually used. The reason is because this is considered part of your wages that your boss is giving you. The part that you don’t use, is considered as if you didn’t receive it, and there is no need to give maser from it.
Best wishes
