I placed an order from a Kosher restaurant through the Uber app and received someone else’s food (I have no idea if it was the driver or restaurant’s fault). Am I allowed to follow the app procedures to get refunded (I don’t know if they take the money back from the restaurant or not) rather than deal with the restaurant directly? I assume the restaurant is maskim to working out any errors through Uber when they sign up for the service.
If this is the way the restaurant works, then as you write they agree that you can have a refund if you didn’t get your food, even if the driver is at fault. Therefore you can try to get a refund. Understandably, you have to offer to give the actual food back to the restaurant.
