Is indirect passing such as taking out an item or putting in a item in a bag which ones wife is holding problematic?

Thank you for your question.
The reason we don’t hand things from one to the other is because they might come to touch each other in the process. The poskim say that this includes, placing something inside a bag that she/he is holding. However, if she is pushing a carriage, he may place things inside it, because the carriage is not being held by her, rather it is on the ground.
