Shabbat and limited washing

Question:

Is there any permissible method  to wash (rinse) part of the body (with cold water) following relations on Shabbat?

Answer:

It is permitted to wash a part of the body[1] with cold water on Shabbat. Just don’t use soap. Regarding drying yourself with a towel, essentially it is permitted[2] however it is preferable to just place the towel on one’s hair or rub softly so that the towel will automatically absorb the water[3]and not squeeze it out.

  1. It should be noted, that it is also not permitted to use a washcloth to wash the particular part of the body, even if soap isn’t being used.
