Is it still Pareve?

Question:

I cooked pasta in pareve pot and poured hot water that was taken from Shabbos kettle with a fleishig plastic measuring cup. That cup had been in fleishig sink with greasy meat dishes before. I think I had washed it with cold water so not sure if it had grease residue left.

My question is about my new pareve pot and pareve metal fork. Do I have to do anything to make them still pareve? The fork is not expensive. Biggest concern is my new pot to be available for pareve cooking.

Answer:

Thank you for your question.

The pot is still pareve, and you don’t have to be concerned. This is it is possible that there was no grease in the cup. Even if there was a minute amount of grease, it is botil in the rest of the water.

Best wishes
