Is it okay to use the same set of glass dishes for both meat and dairy? I know some conservative Jews who do, but what do people who are frum do?

Thank you for your question.
Orthodox Jews don’t use glass dishes for milk and meat, because hot meat that is placed on the plate will get absorbed into the plate and then hot cheese placed on top of the plate later will get absorbed into it.
An additional reason is because there are times that the plate is not totally clean and then the person will be eating milk with meat.
