When lighting the Shamash on tin menorah where should the shamash be positioned? Should it go on the far left or the far right? Or as long as its raised above the other candles does it not matter which side it goes?

The shamash can be positioned anywhere next to the candles, and it is preffered that it be above the candles because then it gives more light.
