Toivelling

Question:

Dear Rabbi,
Would a circular saw (usually used for woodwork) need to be toivelled to cut raw frozen meat – on a very ad hoc basis.
The machine would not be able to be toivelled without breaking – the blade will require a degree of dismantling.
Looking for a lenient view
Thank you

Answer:

Thank you for your question.

There is no need for you to tovel the saw, since the saw is not a utensil that is intended or usually used for food.

Best wishes
