Sheimos for tefillin case and paint

Question:

Do the following need to be put in sheimos?:

1) Plastic case for tefillin (the outer case, not the little cover for the shel yad). I have a case that was used and one that was not. Is there a difference?

2) Chips of paint that flaked off tefillin

Thank you for your question.

1. The plastic case that holds the tefillin is considered tashmshei kedusha ansd needs to go into shaimos. In fact, even the embroidered tefillin bag, since it is made special to beautify the tefillin has to also go into shaimos.
2. Chips paint that came off the tefillin also need to be put into shaimos and buried.
